Assistant Dean for Faculty Leadership Development
Dr. Steve Taff, PhD, OTR/L, FNAP, FAOTA, Professor of Occupational Therapy and Medicine, has been on faculty at Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) since 2010.
Dr. Taff enjoys the collaborative aspect of his work and has been an active leader in the Academy of Educators and the Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education. His scholarly interests include learner and faculty wellbeing, building and evaluating inclusive learning environments, curriculum design, and applied educational philosophy. He will assume the role of Assistant Dean for Faculty Leadership Development with the Office of Faculty Promotions & Career Development (OFPCD) as of July 1, 2024.
Assistant Dean for Coaching
Dr. John Schneider, MD, MA, is the Division Chief of Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology. He has been on faculty at WUSM since 2013.
He became a physician development coach in 2023 through the Physician Coaching Institute with training in leadership, career development, and executive coaching. His research has focused primarily on communication in health care and patient and physician understanding of otolaryngologic disease, while his clinical practice has focused on sinonasal inflammatory disease, benign skull base disorders, and sinonasal tumors. He will assume the role of Assistant Dean for Coaching with OFPCD as of July 1, 2024.
