A Workshop for WashU Medicine faculty in mentorship roles
Using the Executive Summary, we will discuss coaching skills in listening and questioning to help your mentees develop a career plan.
We will explore how to be both a mentor and a coach when you meet with your faculty mentees to foster their career development. Participants will learn how to use a non-judgmental mindset to encourage their faculty to think more broadly about their career goals and develop an actionable plan.
In this workshop, you will:
- Learn how coaching skills can help career planning
- Learn how to listen and ask questions in non-judgement
- Learn how to navigate your different roles (mentor, chair, division chief, etc.) while incorporating coaching skills.
