Clifford G. Robinson, MD, is an exceptionally talented mentor, having taught dozens of junior faculty and residents in the art of protocol design. In his role as an educator, he leads didactic courses, mentorship of students and trainees, and career development committees. He organizes the international conference on radiation ablation of cardiac arrhythmias, is the national chair of the American Board of Radiology’s Lung Cancer Committee and is responsible for board examinations of residents training in radiation oncology. Robinson was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2012 and 2016 by residents in radiation oncology as well as national Educator of the Year by the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology in 2017. Robinson leads the clinical team in the U54 center grant, which takes a multi-investigator approach to translational research in the field of radiation oncology. In this role, he oversees protocol design and mentors junior faculty and residents, who are designing prospective clinical trials. In the cardiac group, he serves as the lead radiation oncologist and collaborates with cardiologists and imaging scientists in the development of novel ways to treat cardiac arrhythmias.
