Interfolio Update

Interfolio was selected as the best-in-class option to support our needs for annual review, appointment, promotion, and tenure processes. As our School of Medicine community transitions to utilizing Interfolio for Faculty CVs, Activity Reporting, and Promotion, we have made some adjustments to help make it easier to use. It’s time to dive in and use this tool! 

What You Need to Know

We heard you. Entering data into the Interfolio Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) module is time-consuming. 

To ensure that nobody is held back in their application for promotion and/or tenure, we will initiate a grace period of at least six months during which you can upload your CV rather than entering all your data into Interfolio for appointment, promotion, and tenure applications. You will also upload a PDF of your Executive Summary and Clinician Track Impact Report. To comply with the modernized Appointments & Promotions Guidelines (APGAR), there are some additional sections faculty should add to their existing CVs for promotion applications. 

We will use FAR for Annual Reviews.

Please keep in mind that only the last year of data/activity needs to be entered in Interfolio for your Annual Review. 

Annual Reviews will be completed in Interfolio for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Annual Reviews for all faculty are important as a best practice and necessary to comply with LCME accreditation requirements.
