Dr. Diemer has been a faculty member at WUSM for 27 years while raising 2 children. She and her spouse rely on nearby extended family for help, and they have also employed a nanny and housekeeper. She has utilized the opportunity to work part-time for a period and credits a supportive division chief with helping her maintain her work-life balance.
